Proton has launched its Black Friday 2026 sale, cutting Mail Plus to $1.99 / £1.59 / €1.99 a month and Proton Unlimited to $6.49 / £5.19 / €6.49 a month for your first year. The discounts are advertised as 60% and 50% off, measured against the standard monthly prices.

The sale runs until Monday 30 November 2026, and these prices are only available through partner links like ours. Both plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee, although the discount only applies to your first 12 months.

$1.99 / £1.59 / €1.99 a month for your first year. Private, encrypted email on your own domain. Renews at $47.88 / £38.28 / €47.88 a year. Ends 30 November.

Proton Mail Plus Black Friday Deal: 60% off

Mail Plus is the headline deal for anyone interested in Proton’s encrypted email service. It gives you the paid email features without the cost of Proton’s wider subscription bundle.

You get 15 GB of storage, 10 encrypted email addresses and support for 1 custom email domain. That means you can use an email address connected to a domain you own, rather than a standard Proton address.

Mail Plus also includes unlimited folders and labels, 10 hide-my-email aliases, priority customer support and Proton Calendar. Hide-my-email aliases let you use additional addresses instead of sharing your main email address.

The Black Friday price is $1.99 / £1.59 / €1.99 a month, billed $23.88 / £19.08 / €23.88 for the first 12 months. That saves you $24 / £19.20 / €24 compared with the standard yearly price of $47.88 / £38.28 / €47.88.

Proton calls this 60% off because it compares the deal with the standard monthly price of $4.99 / £3.99 / €4.99. Our take is that Mail Plus makes the most sense if you primarily want private, encrypted email. You get your own domain, extra addresses and more storage without paying for services you may never use.

Proton Unlimited Black Friday Deal: 50% off

$6.49 / £5.19 / €6.49 a month for your first year. Mail, VPN, Pass, Drive and 500 GB of storage in one plan. Renews at $119.88 / £95.88 / €119.88 a year.

Proton Unlimited is the more interesting deal if you want to use several Proton services. It includes everything in Mail Plus, but expands the subscription beyond email.

You get Proton VPN, Proton Pass (password manager), Proton Drive (cloud storage), Proton Docs and Sheets, and Proton Calendar. The plan also includes 500 GB of storage.

The Black Friday price is $6.49 / £5.19 / €6.49 a month, billed $77.88 / £62.28 / €77.88 for the first 12 months. That saves $42 / £33.60 / €42 against the standard yearly price of $119.88 / £95.88 / €119.88.

Proton advertises this as 50% off, measured against the standard monthly price of $12.99 / £10.39 / €12.99. This is the bundle we pay for ourselves, and we think it offers good value if you use the extra services. Having your email, VPN, password manager and cloud storage together can make the subscription easier to justify.

But if you only want encrypted email, Mail Plus is the smarter buy. Our Proton Unlimited review looks more closely at whether the wider bundle is worth paying for.

Is the Proton Mail Black Friday deal worth it?

For most people, Mail Plus is the deal to get. It cuts the cost of your first year by half against the standard yearly price, without paying for services you may never use. Unlimited is the better buy only if you will regularly use its VPN, password manager and cloud storage.

The one catch is that neither price lasts beyond your first 12 months. After that, your subscription renews at the standard yearly rate, so it is worth setting a reminder before your renewal date.

If you are not sure about Proton, its free plan costs nothing and uses the same encryption. Every plan uses the same end-to-end encryption, so you do not need Unlimited for stronger email encryption. When does the Proton Black Friday sale end?

Proton’s Black Friday sale ends on Monday 30 November 2026, which is also Cyber Monday. The promotional prices are only available through partner links, including those on this page.

After the sale ends, Proton returns to its usual offers. Our Proton Mail deals page covers offers available outside the Black Friday period.

The small print

The biggest thing to remember is that these are first-year prices, not permanent discounts. After 12 months, Mail Plus renews at $47.88 / £38.28 / €47.88 every 12 months. Proton Unlimited renews at $119.88 / £95.88 / €119.88 every 12 months.

You also lose the promotional pricing if you change your plan, switch billing, change your payment method, or cancel and return. Our full Proton Mail pricing breakdown explains the standard plans and their ongoing costs.

Both Black Friday plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee. The pound prices include UK VAT at 20%, and the amount you pay can vary slightly depending on VAT or sales tax in your country.

Your first year for $23.88 / £19.08 / €23.88, with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Renews at $47.88 / £38.28 / €47.88 a year.
